What 22" tires are you running and do they ride good?

Default What 22" tires are you running and do they ride good?

I'm having problems with my new wheels and tires so I would like to hear from the people with 22" wheels. Does your truck ride as smooth as it did with the stock tires? I know you will feel the bumps more but on a smooth hwy does the truck vibrate or shake at all? It seems that with the new tires some times it will ride smooth but if I hit any kind of bump the steering wheel will start to shake and you have to slow down to make it smooth out again. This really sucks because I already sold my stock 20's. Discount has a new set of 20" wheels that they will mount and let me road test but I don't want to spend anymore money. I am hoping the indy tire shop I bought them at will make it right tomorrow but now I'm scared to go back with 22" and i'm thinking of just buying some stock 20's off Craigslist and sell the ones I have and take my lose. WTF

I'd say it's those craptastic Kumhos...you get what you pay for. Try some Goodyear Eagles at least...

I used to have yokohama geolanders, they were awesome didn't get any wheel shake, try having them rebalanced? The only time I noticed them was slowing down and ruts in the road, they tended to track a little more because of the width of the tires but any wide tire will do this

Well I just got back from the tire shop where I bought the wheels and they found one wheel what was out of round and ordered a ne wheel that will be delivered in a few days. It looks like this was the source of my vibration so I hope the new wheel will fix it. I'll keep everyone posted.

I currently have the same issue as you do, and looking into taking my truck back to the shop to have them check it out.

What size 22" rims are you guys running? I'm shopping around for some gunmetal / powdercoated 22"s.
