Okay I have lost respect for JD Power they gave the Toyota Tacoma truck of the year. Now I think it is for the 2007 because they do a 3 year test whatever...how can anybody name any Toyota right now with an an award. Sad.

Prius has the best value and top green car award from Consumer Reports. I didn't search other models. As far as the Tacoma. I had a 2006 tacoma 4x4. It was a great truck for its size. I would still have it, but a year ago someone hit me head on. Totaled both vehicles. I came out with just bumps, bruises and a few scrapes from the air bag.

IMO, the recall has been way over hyped by the media.

OVERHYPED !!!!, my neighbor lost her husband (and my close friend)of 35 years, due to the accelerator being stuck, the 2 daughters were saved, that were in there, after she went to court to sue for damages,They dug into his past when he was a teenager and was arrested for DUI ,they used that as a crutch, when the investigation was over, Toyotas lawyers blamed him and shamed his name, all the while (KNOWING) that abut the pedals, that has been proven now, they were ridiculed and sent out of court.

NOW a year later things are a little different
TOYOTA contacted her personally through a reprsentative, and wanted to settle out of court,
NO WAY....... she is taking them all back, to get his name and reputation back
after hiding the truth, and covering it up, I personally think it is NOT overhyped in certain circumstances.
This was a good friend of mine, sorry about this just had to vent a little

There is evidence they did some cover up. To be honest though I think "cover ups" happen often in this industry, but in this case it was a critical issue which is why it is all over the news.

Any death is to many. Sorry for the loss and meant no disrespect. I am not defending Toyota.

I was looking it at from the number of vehicles, (millions) to the number of reported/actual case problems (hundred or thousands). It is a very small percentage. IMO the news media portrayed the issue as every vehicle was a death trap. I also know people that have newer toyotas with high milage without any problems. It is an issue that needs addressed. IMO, it is like the Firestone tire issue a few years back.

Toyota has a serious problem on their hand and they have covered it up for years now.... since about 2001 to be exact. Toyota is very shady and secretive corporation. They lie and cheat so that they can suck America dry quicker. I would be flat out ashamed to drive a Toyota!

If that is a shot at my Honda.... well, I would proudly race an american 600cc sportbike..... if they made one. No competition there.... so it's really no different than the import computer your typing on or the four wheeler or dirtbike in your garage. Your feelings should be MUCH different towards Toyota.... it isn't a buy american thing... it's much more than that. It's criminal.

Nope. The only American bike that would suit my needs on a racetrack is this one and it's too big. 1125cc. It's a very nice bike... but not a super sport. Maybe one day Buell will build one. Harley has no clue how to build a racebike though. They tried once. Search VR1000. It was a massive failure.
