I would like to catch them, tie cinder blocks to their ankles and take them for a nice little boat ride on Lake St. Clair.

Any recommendations on how else I can protect the truck over and above the factory alarm. I talked to one place that can install a shock sensor and sound sensor (breaking glass) to supplement the factory alarm system. I am thinking this is the way to go because it will not involve another remote and utilizes the factory alarm.

Busted the back drivers side window. Destroyed the bezel around the stereo and did some damage to the dashboard. Luckily no damage to the leather. I do feel violated. Luckily the truck is at a place called AutoMetric. They do top-of-the line work and specialize in fixing BMW and Benz cars. I have had them do work before and it is top notch.

Thanks everyone.

Oh yeah and they were nice enough to just unplug the harness. They definitely knew what they were doing.

Keep your eyes open on Craigslist and ebay for Nav radios for sale in your area. Some times you can find the thief that way. Sorry to hear about your unfortunate incident. I used to live in the Detroit area and the crime sucked pretty bad there. Good riddance MI!!!

My 2002 Quad Cab was stolen from the Ruby Tuesdays at 13 and Gratiot. If you find out who did it I will provide the boat
I took my 02 to AutoMetric when it was recovered....$15,000 in damage and it only had 8k miles on it. When I picked it up they had it back to brand new condition, they do great work over there.

You should post your esn for the satellite here and us guys who live nearby where you do or across the border can keep an eye out for it. Surely it is going for sale because it is useless unless they dont want to use the uconnect or satellite. Make sure Chrysler is informed because someone might come in with a radio wanting to get the unconnect working you never know there are stupid people.

Where do I find the identifier? The truck is currently in the shop along with my manual...

Yeah that doesn't make a lot of sense at all. Like sking said the new nav radios are useless when taken out improperly I.e stolen. But I would look into oldjeeps idea for sure using the sat radio as a tracking device. If it is powered back up for sat use the serial # in your papers should match a signal. Its like Lo-Jack basically, im not 100% on it working but def worth a try. I hate that s**t, some a**hole looking for a quick buck doing damage to your new truck! I say get the bastards even if it is a pain in the ***. The cinder block swim is the right way to go with them! There are great alarms available but most have two way pagers that are big to have on your key ring. Sucks, sorry dude.
