Angry Nav radio ripped off

Had my NAV radio ripped out of my truck at work the other day along with another vehicle. Back drivers side window smashed out to gain entry without the alarm going off. Happened in a busy parking lot in broad daylight. Be careful with yours. I was heart broken because the truck only has 2500 miles on it. Scumbags..... I would like to catch them, tie cinder blocks to their ankles and take them for a nice little boat ride on Lake St. Clair.

Any recommendations on how else I can protect the truck over and above the factory alarm. I talked to one place that can install a shock sensor and sound sensor (breaking glass) to supplement the factory alarm system. I am thinking this is the way to go because it will not involve another remote and utilizes the factory alarm.

Must have been a first time 2010 dodge break in for the fool who stole it. It wont work once it is removed in the manor it was taken. Sorry for your troubles.

Not sure if sirus will do this, but you might want to find out if you can report that serial number stolen - have the service shut off and watch to see if anyone attempts to activate that serial number again.

Yeah I get it....we buy insurance so we don't care that our trucks get broken into and stuff stolen....that is a great philosophy. It makes sense even when they steal stuff the insurance won't cover. Great Idea.

yeah closest you get to feeling violated I guess, had a Saturn SC2 broken in to and all they took was a bag that had 5 lures in it, felt like **** especially cleaning the mess and replacing the window, felt worse for the guy next to me who had his backpack/wallet/PHD papers that were due two days later taken, insurance doesnt cover that.

How much damage did they do? I would imagine they smashed the dash bezel since that would take some time to properly remove. What about the harness? Did they cut that?

Things can be replaced but that really sucks. I agree with the boat ride idea.
