Default 2009 SLT Hemi will not start

Has anyone had trouble with their truck not starting? I parked the truck in the garage Friday night, got in it Sunday morning and will not start. Seems like no electrical power no lights. Nothing was left on to drain the battery. I had to unlock the shift lock and push it out of the garage, calling the dealer in the morning to come tow it in. The key is also stuck in the ignition and will not come out.
Truck is a 2009 Ram 1500 SLT Hemi with 6500 miles on it.

Did you turn off the ignition and forget to put it in PARK?

The other night I pulled up to my house and put it in park like I always do. The engine shut off, and could not get my key out of the ignition wtf. I remember the park light being lit up. Started and stopped the engine a couple more times, no go. I finally I pulled the shift lever down into drive and back up into park, presto the park light went out and I was able to remove my key.

Why I was able to start the engine with it not quite in park is a mystery but RamR/T may be onto something. Maybe yours is a tad more out of park than mine was. Work the shift lever back and forth and see if it helps.

No, didn't do anything out of the ordinary. Got out Friday night took the key out, got back in this morning, no power whatsoever.

I have moved the shifter several times with no problem after I unlock the shift lock. Seems like an electrical problem. No interior lights or dash lights come on.

I will post again when the problem is fixed. We'll see what the dealer says.

Did you try sticking a voltmeter on the battery to see if ti has a charge?

It would not take much to at least power the dash lights, no way a modern 700 amp battery is that dead. I'd be checking fuses.

No power or lights is a good sign of a disconnected battery. Did you check the connections? I myself had a problem with my battery a few months after buying my truck. It turned out the battery had a bad cell and needed to be replaced.
