My truck sits 18" to the CENTER of my hitch... with my stock Goodyear 265/70-17 tires. It's a 2010 1500 with 4x4, 8' bed and a 3.92 rear end.
Just thought I'd give my 2 cents because I had to measure it up to figure out what drop I would need to pull my 4000 lb boat... I ended up getting a 2" drop reciever hitch with a 2" ball.
