Those with HEMI Superchips tuners
What setting are you finding the best performance and/or gas mileage on? If you have a custom tune that you have put in yourself please let me know what your settings are that you are using to get the most out of the HEMI. Thanks.
I use the canned 93 tune, it was noticeably better than the 91 tune. In fact, it screams. Mileage went down quite a bit, can't tell if its the tune or my foot..........don't care so much about mileage anyway. If I did, I would not have bought a Hemi truck.
I'll have to try the 93 tune. I have the 91 with both shift points set at 5950. I tried the SC recommendation of 6200 and 6100 but didn't like it. The truck hesitated between shifts then surged. Nose dive then rip, not smooth at all. Every truck will react differently so change them till you find its sweet spot. I have the speed limiter maxed at 140 and keep the MDS on, which im going to change today to see the difference. Im sure the highway stomp to WOT will react instantly. Im trying to find the perfect balance between power and MPG but as everyone is saying, does MPG really matter? We did buy Hemis!
At least you guys can get 93 Octane. Stuck with 91 here in Kalifornia.
That being said, is the 91 tune with the 5950 shift points a good combo?
And turning MDS off, what exactly does that help? Still stock factory exhaust here, and I don't plan on changing exhaust of air intake, for a while anyway.

93 octane tune with 5850 shift points and 140 speed limiter. Will try 5950 when I reflash the tune back in tomorrow afternoon, I am stock this week cause have a dealer trip for oil change and tire rotation/rebalance Friday. I did the quick tune first, the 93 quick tune was good but the hemi has more to give beyond the stock 5600 shift point.
As far as MDS, superships has some work to do to smooth it out when disengaging. It sort of lunges out of MDS mode where as it was real smooth on stock tune. Diablo fixed this but it's not that bad and haven't had time to post it on their forum yet. Do not want to disable MDS, I do too much highway driving since I live out in the back woods and drive 45 minutes to work daily.
Looking forward to the torq mgmt update so I keep checking back here for when it is available to update the flashpaq.

I run the 91 some times but mostly the 87 tune with 89 Gas, 5950--1st/2nd 5950 2nd/3rd, REV higher, top speed 140, MDS on, I have never tried it with it off ,I had to take it in for an RRT, and removed the tune completly, WOW!!!, I forgot how it shifted and ran, I thought it wasnt that bad when I first got it, but now ,I dont think I really want to run with out it, the shifiting alone is woth it to me, crisp and smooth, its going right back in when I get her back.'
Weird thing when it was removed it acted like it still had a little of the memory in there.the shifts were still good, drove it about 30 miles ,and came to a light, took off, and HELLO, the old lazy droop then shift, man I love that tuner.

The mileage tune seems to squeeze an extra .5 mpg out of the truck in city or stop and go driving over the 87 tune. Both are better than the 93 tune for mileage, but that was also largely affected by my driving habits when in the 93 tune....
from what I read in the manual the 87 octane tune was for vehicles whose recommended octane was higher than 87 and all it did was make it so that those vehicles could run w/ 87 octane gas. Am I missing something? I don't have the option on mine to have a performance 87 tune. I have the 91 tune on right now w/ 89 octane fuel b/c I can't find anywhere around me that has 91 octane, so I picked the closest thing to it. I'm not having any trouble using this combo right now. Right now I have the 91 octane quick tune running w/ the rev limiter up and max speed at 140. I notice the most difference in the low end.
