Default Aero Turbine (AT3030)

i'm just going to start by saying- I Love My Wife! for my birthday she got me a at3030 a total surprise to me. never thought she actually payed attention to me when i talk about stuff that i want for my truck, she does.. Anyway i put it on last night basically removed that HUGE can and fitted the at3030 to the existing pipe (single exhaust) resonator and all. I was able to add 18'' 0f pipe off the outlet to compinsate for the difference clamped it all down using the existing factory clamps. 45 minutes later wow what a difference. at idle you can feel the exhaust not hear it when you gas it you hear it no drone what so ever it sounds good. im going to drive it the rest of the week and it fits me well im going to go to the welder and have him fit me with a pipe no resonator and a clamp at the ends so if its bad i can put the stock back on. i just want to say i've had flowmasters before and i can say this at3030 blows it away.

You have hit the nail directly on top of the head. The AT3030 is a fantastic muffler. I had one on my 2004 Ram Quad cab Hemi. Sounded really great. Now I am thinking about putting one on my 2009 Ram Crew cab Hemi. Everyone at the fire station still talks about the great sound I had on my 2004.

plumcrazy- if i keep my foot off the floor i can see myself getting decent milage, i've noticed it wants to drop to 4 cyl alot my guess is less restrictive pipe so the truck is trying to compinsate. at idle it is quite but you can feel it, when you touch the gas is when that nice rumble bounces off my neighbors houses, lol. now mind you i still have the stock tailpipe w/resonator so its not as good as it could be, im testing right now if my neighbors don't get pissed i'll get a straight thru no ressie then it will be loud... As for a clip i'll try havent got a clue on any of that, i hate computers a monkey would have a better chance on posting a vid or sound clip than me again i'll try

I was able to pick up about 2 more miles per gallon with the AT3030. I only replaced the stock muffler and a section of pipe. I left the resonator on. Like I said before, good sound and no loud cabin noise at highway speeds. I remember when that truck started up anyone around me would be looking to see what it was. Not an offensive sound, but just the right sound.

I put an at3030 on mine as well, best muffler ever couldn't be happier. I removed the resonators though and it sounds throaty and mean like a monster truck, I will get a sound clip up as a comparison. Btw removing the resonators with the At3030 makes a huge difference, more so than any other muffler I have used just because the At3030 has zero packing.

So are you saying to leave the resonators on?

if you get on you tube you can see and hear the difference. it still sounds good with the resonator, but it has a better rumble without one. im going to keep the stock pipe and go to a local bender and have a stainless 3'' pipe bent just enough to get it over the axle and out the side. areo turbine says for best results to have 12'' of straight pipe before and after the muffler i want to go above and beyond that measurement.
