for the update mentioned on the coastaltech page, how do you get it on the unit? Flashdrive, usb cable...? I don't have mine in hand yet, so I'm just trying to get all of my ducks in a row b/f i take it to the shop.

72combo, where and how much did you pay for your second camera in the front? Are you running it on the factory head unit? Last question, where did you mount it?

Thanks for the tip. I've did notice these didn't click into place like they should, but seemed to have a firm connection. I think I can have the center console and radio out in less than 6 minutes now, since I've had it out so many times. I hope nothing stars to rattle.

I am using two aftermarket cameras do not have them installed yet as I have not received them yet and I am not gonna install them till I get Service Bulletin F08-63-10 DS Cluster Flash for ECO Light Activation done tomorrow. I am still waiting on the lock pick to come. I just ordered this stuff. I am going to put the rear camera in the handle were it normally goes or maybe the other side since I have the Pace Edwards lock and not key just power. The front is going to go in the middle of that black part that covers the hole where tow hooks would go, I have a Canadian style sport. So far the is the tentative spot since I bought 2 flush mount cameras....they were not expensive...like 40 bucks. Now if they work good cool. How I am going to hook them up if you look in the instructions the is power outputs Rever and baby/front cam also you can get your power from the lock pick.
I dont have the usb cable yet because as I stated I dont have the lockpick yet so I don't know what cable fits.

After my experience with CoastalTech's customer support I'll never give them my business again. Just be aware that all the talk you see on the forums about them completely lacking in this area is true. Just pray your unit is good and that you'll never need any assistance from their engineers or God forbid their completely unresponsive refund department... When I originally bought from them, I was like, 'hey, I very rarely have to deal with customer support on any products I buy and its cheaper than AllGig so what the heck.' Anyway, some lessons we learn the hard way.

You should be using the power from the lockpick not from your rear lights. That is the problem. If you are using lockpick with an oem camera that was already there and you want it to function like cameras hooked after you will have to rewire the OEM camera and connect it to the lockpick instead of the tipm

I bought mine thru a company online and it was only 189 including the video cable that coastal charges extra for. But I got a coastal tech card inside. I guess support comes from them but I have emailed them thru that chat with us page and yet to get an answer and now the phone number is 800 number that I can get to work from Canada. Anywone got a local number or one other than 800

And your customer support nightmare begins... I don't have a phone number other than the 800 number, but perhaps on their website. Good luck, you'll need it dealing with them...

I have their number and also called there and they were very polite and helpful but they gave me contradicting information as to what the instructions say. I am not sure what to do I don't want to mess up my uconnect. They say the mopar version has to be hooked up like an aftermarket camera but then in the instructions it says if your uconnect buttons are functional set the dipswitch to blank opposite to what the guy said. 321 574 5011

Nice is only one part of customer service. Competency, reliability and promptness are a few others. I never had an issue with their 'niceness'. My beef was with their lacking in the other areas I listed here.

Okay since I have been in this forum I have noticed that if one person has a problem with something right away everyone is on it including me, we are talking about what we are gonna do if they don't fix it before we even try. I have had only one issue with the dealer so far with this truck and well I installed the part so they could have told be nope we are not starscanning it or basically charge as much as they want. But then customer service gets involved and .....LOL see what I mean.
You had a bad time with them maybe it was your attitude that day maybe whoever you talked to was an idiot. I have had it both ways, me sportin a tude I have learned lately does not get me anywhere, especially riding in a wheelchair. You become the ahole in the chair. Pain, boredom take over what can I say. We all have our reasons.
I think the guys advice was wrong just by the instructions, I am gonna try it my way first. 99 percent track record of being right. I have their number I also got a square trade guarantee on it for 3 years. Man they give you way too much wiring with this thing. Gonna see it work then shorten them up to fit correct.
