Default Surfboards + RAMBOX

Just curious if anyone uses a RAMBOX bed or crew bed to haul surfboards. Any issues or regrets with choosing the shorter/ smaller bed size? I took a picture with my 6FT short board in a Crew bed at the dealer last time I was there, and it just fit. They did not have a RamBox to try out. Would like to see pictures of RAM BOX beds with boards or filled with other items.

Thanks

Thinking of getting an ocean kayak and wondering what I am gonna be dong to make it fit.

As for surf boards, your short board will either fit very snug or you can also flip the board tip over the end of the closed gate and strap it down using the hook eyes at the bottom of the bed gate.. Thats what I would do where I live

My GS race skis just barely fit diagonally. I think that some sort of a Yakima compatible rack will get installed before next season.

And does it attach only to the top of the rails, or does it intrude into the bed?

Dodge makes the rack..Yakima and Thule make good racks as well

It does not intrude into the bed but mounts by rail system or bolts to the rails

Dodge doesn't make much of anything. Looks like it is a Thule according to Dodges accessory catalog:

I bought it used from a 3rd gen Ram owner. It has Ram stickers on it and was bought from the dealership so i assumed it as a Mopar accessory...

Obviously Dodge doesn't make it..
