U Connect Microphone Problem!!! Please Post!
No you need to just talk normal and the mic is in the mirror if it was installed in the factory.Just a couple little holes. Try training it to learn your voice. When you yell or talk loud it cuts out cuz I talk loud my wife loud but softer and I hear her great but she has difficulty with me. Give the training thing a whirl....get your manual out I don't know how to do it.
Are you sure it's in the mirror?
I have a mic (or something) in the left upper corner of the windscreen?
(The Radio/Navi is a REW)
/Jocce
Yup... It's in the mirror for the 2009 Factory Install UConnect (REN Jukebox or RER Nav). Some of the Dealership-installed "after-factory" kits have a discrete mic that they can mount into the windshield frame.
Jocce's REW is the Euro equiv of the RER Nav.

I have the aftermarket MOPAR kit the mic is not so discreet it is about an inch long and 3/4 wide and is black and they suggest installing it right on the plastic A pillar at the top. I filed a small hole thru the RAM sign on the center where the heated seat switch and stuff at just took out he screws and took a small round file to make a hole for the wire then put the mic thru the sign back on and stuck it to the dash right there, Fairly invisible and works good. Only problem it picks up the sound from the front speakers so you get an echo if the driver has the volume up too loud.

But is works well and is not so visible and I did not have to take off all kinds of parts off.

This pic is before is stuck it down to the dash with the two way tape on the back.

I have a 2012 dodge ram1500 and my phone microphone just started crackling when i speak on uconnect. Nav, connecting to call thru truck and other voice commands work. Its just when i speak on phone. Crackles on other end as well. Have had the truck since new and never had this issue. Does anyone know cause and/or remedy before i take it back to dealer. Thanks
Powerlinedog,
Contacting your Dodge dealer will be the best bet as there may be a software update available, however until the concern is diagnosed by a service department I can not confirm. I'd recommend speaking with a service manager because they will be able to assist in reviewing your concerns.
If you have any inquiries or would like additional assistance feel free to PM me.
