Stopped at a red light.Had a Challenger RT pull up beside me.Hemi,5.7 auto.We rolled to about 20 and nailed them.Ran nose to nose to about 75/80 mph before both of us backed off.I figure he'd walk my truck but didn't.Nose to nose.Bet the young fella didn't think a old man would stomp and hold.LOL
Felt like a blast from the past.I've owned 69 396 Chevelle and a 340 Dart 350 Nova way back when,After we slowed there were cops everywhere. The holiday I guess.
I was kinda shocked.Thought he'd walk off from me.I did just about the same thing with a new whatever Camaro. It WALKED all over me badly. No race at all.It was GONE.
Those R/T's have a 3.06:1 rear. I suspect that evens things up quite a bit.
That is what I was thinking. Gears are everything in these trucks. I have the 3.92's with the Hemi and it is really fast off the line. Now at Interstate speed you punch it and the response is nowhere near the same as it is at a light. My guess is the driver probably made a difference to, nothing better then good experience. By the way try not to get those Dodge kills they are still in the family you know!!! Save your time for the Ferd's and the Cheby's
Having owned a normal 300c AND and SRT8 300c, I know that the normal 300c is a little faster than my fathers old 04 RAM HEMI. The SRT would blow it all away
