3.55 to 4.10
First Ans: I don't know but I tend to think NO.
Second Ans: The SC tuner works across several year models and vehicles. Some of them require calibration for a gear change. For instance: My Cortex also works on my 05 Dakota and the speedo sensor is on the tranny therefore it requires re-calibration for a gear swap.
I haven't tried the gear ratio menu item with my 09 Ram, but perhaps it won't allow you to change it. If it does allow changes then it would surely throw off the speedo calibration.
I found the shop that fixed my botched install through one of my local dealer's service departments. I called and talked with a service writer and explained to him what I was wanting, what had happened with my screwed up 4:10 installation and he pointed me to the shop that I ended up using. Turns out the dealership farms most of their gear work out to that shop. The place was on a rough side of town, but you couldn't find nicer guys. They were honest and did exactly what they said they'd do.
If you can find one, take a look through the Yellow Pages for shops. Look for a shop that specializes in gears, or does very little outside of gear work. For instance, the guys I took it to only do transmissions and gears.

War Horse used an outfit in San Antonio - Nogalitos Gear 210-923-4715 and they installed OEM gears after the other shop installed Genuine Gear brand that were noisy.
go to www.airram.com and type in the search area vipgears. the best prices and free shipping. cheers
Without a doubt I'm going with OEM gears, and probably a Yukon LSD for my 4x2. Too many people have told me to stick with OEM, even at the extra cost. I stayed with OEM when going from 3.55 to 4.10 in the Shelby GT500 and it worked out perfect. Unfortunately, the guy that did the Shelby work is no longer there.
Its not rocket science. If any of these Dodge techs also work on JEEP they ought to know differentials in their sleep.I had 8 or 9 techs doing differentials, some two a day.Thats been a few years back but not many.Gran Cherokee diffs had a very high failure rate. The Corporate diff, used in these trucks was a bit easier to do.Its the installer not the gears. We used a lot of GEARS AND REARS back then on Dodge trucks.About 1/4 the price of factory and if you inspect them you won't see any difference.
Not be argumentative with someone who has done time under the vehicle but...
After experiencing noise issues with 2 sets of Genuine gears, I called the tech reps at Genuine and Yukon and they both admitted that their gears for Dodge 9.25 diffs will whine.
So I had OEM gears installed by a Dodge dealer.
