I have considered that, just removing the resonators. Any effect on warranty? I don't mean exhaust warranty I mean are they gonna say not enough back pressure that is why the engine blew.

unfortunately i didn't call to check on the warranty... im sure removing the resonators has less affect on backpressure than the giant muffler on these trucks... im sure most dealer techs wouldnt even notice since i had the pipes welded on and it looks pretty factory...

The resonators are simply there to cancel out certain frequencies in your exhaust to give it a more civil note. They are a straight through design and do not cause any back pressure in the exhaust so the dealer claiming that removing them caused your engine to blow wont happen. If you take a flashlight and look in the tailpipe then you can just see what the resonator looks like....its a perforated straight pipe.
