Default removing grille

I know this has been talked about before but I need to clarify something. When I tried to remove the grille to put in some piaa xtreme white plus bulbs I removed the 4 bolts from on top of the grille. The grille I know is also held in place by 2 clips on the bottom corners. I tried pulling on the grille but could not get it out. I do not want to break the clips on the bottom. My question is do you pull the grille straight up or pull it out towards you? Thanks for your help guys.

be real careful... those clips are a pain and brittle, if you force it you'll break it

I took mine apart when it was like 20 degrees out. warmer weather might be in your favor. just take it slow and dont force anything those two clips are it you break them and you got nothing to hold the grill on.
