I am pretty sure the 4.7 does not have MDS, just the Hemi's...check the manual.

4.7 doesn't have MDS but I'm curious as to why his truck has an eco light?

Only the 5.7L HEMI has MDS. The ECO light isn't directly related to MDS, though when you are driving 'eco friendly' and you have a HEMI that is a good time for MDS to kick in. On the 4.7 the ECO light just indicates when you are driving efficiently.
