Talking Multi-Displacement System

I have a 2009 and was wondering if there is an easy way to tell if my truck has this system. Thanks.

Not sure but I'd Imagine it would state it in your manual. MDS there might even be an identifier in your engine or by the VIN #. Take it into your local dodge dealer mechanics and ask them.

You did not mention in your post if your 2009 was a 1500, 2500, ect. Dodge 1500's if equiped with hemi 5.7 engine have the mds with one exception. 1500 megacabs or heavy duty (ex. 2500 including mega cabs) models do not have mds. If you have 1500 with a 4.7 or 3.7 l. engine you don't have mds. I hope this helps.

If a 1500 with a Hemi, yes it does. If any other engine or 2500/3500 then no.

Be real gentle on the throttle on flat ground anywhere above 18-20mph. If the tone of the motor changes and the engine feels dawgie.....MDS
