Sure. There is no reason you have to run a locker or LSD in both axles.

Swapping the carrier, like in this case going from an open to lsd or locker is a lot simpler than setting up a new ring and pinion. It's something I wish I knew before I went through a couple sets of gears.

A little bit. They don't have to reset the pinion, but the new carrier/locker still needs to be shimmed properly especially since there is already a pattern on the gears.

Look at the Lock Right lockers. They only replace the spider gears. If you have an open carrier or no LSD then usually it is easier.

Do the rear only. The front would not be a good option on the street.

I find the rear end in my chevy does makes some noise on occasion but when I put that thing it was like a new truck.
I am worried about how the MDS will act.
These things are so easy to put it, it's literally a 15 minute job after you get the cover off the diff and drain the fluid.
Do these dodges work like the chevs just take out the pin push in the axles and the u clip falls out the axle can be pulled out at this point if you want? If so once you assemble the unit with spring and grease in it goes. I will wait a few years maybe lets see if these rear ends act up or the MDS
Just have to record which washers, spaces whatever came from which side.
