Exclamation GI: RT to ST Bumper/Exhaust Swap VA/NC Area

As the slightly verbose title says, I am gauging interest to see if there are any V8 ST owners, in the area, who would be interested in swapping there factory no exhaust cut-outs bumper and factory exhaust for my RT's rear bumper and dual exhaust. Reason being, I plan to install a side exit exhaust system that dumps out before the rear tire and it would look pretty silly to have those exhaust cut-outs with no pipes filling them.

Sorry SLT guys without the dual exhaust. I'm only looking for someone with the painted bumper, not the chrome.

Location wise I'm in Virginia Beach, VA. So, obviously this would only be convenient for someone in the VA/DC/NC and maybe SC area. Honestly, if someone from Idaho wanted to drive out I'm not gonna stop them, but that would be just plain silly. I also don't want to get into shipping because that would be just as silly.

Timeline wise I'm looking at mid-August or later as I won't be back from Iraq until July and I don't get my truck till early August.

Given all of the variables I doubt I'll find an interested party which is no biggie as I can order a bumper online for around $200. But, I figured I'd go ahead and ask just in case. Thanks for looking!

GLWT search. It will be pretty cool to see after you dump the exhaust out the side.

Thanks bro, you'll be able to hear it in person. LOL. Let me know if you run into any ST owners around the 7 cities looking for a dual exhaust.

I am President of the local Dodge truck club SOVADODGETRUCKS.com and will get with Chris (GM for Hall Va Beach Dodge) and see if any customers may be interested. He supports us and the Tidewater Mopar Club.

Did you buy it from them?

Ron

I bet you will find someone to trade even steven. Your bumper can be painted any colour.

rjc - Thanks, I appreciate it. I bought it through the Military New Car Sales program who place the order directly to Dodge and then you pick it up at a local dealer. I tried to pick it up at Hall because they get very good reviews and I bought from Hall Mazda back in 03. But, apparently they don't have a contract so I am going to have to pick it up from Starr Motors in Suffolk. I don't know much about them, but at I should only have to deal with them once as I'll be taking the truck to Hall for any service/parts needs.

Plumcrazy - My truck is black. Like 72combo said anyone who wanted to do the trade will have to get their bumper painted as I will have to have their's painted to match mine. But, I figured I might find someone wanting to paint their bumpers to match their trucks color anyhow. Honestly, I think it's the exhaust swap that the potential owner will find most appealing.

Try calling the dealer in Suffolk to see if anyone of their customers might want to do this. They may even do it before you pick up the truck.
