I am a little confused and need some help. I bought my first Ipod a month ago and I assumed I could hook it up to my 2010 truck by connecting it to the auxiliary jack but it doesn't work. I went to Best Buy and the guy came out to my truck and hook up his mp3 player to the auxiliary jack port and it worked. What am I missing? He used the same wire that I used to connect my Ipod.
check the volume on your ipod, on mine if the ipod volume is all the way down you cant hear it so i keep my ipod all the way up and control it with the truck volume. If that is not it i dont know.
Looks like the AUX input is your only option then. Sounds like the other folks have found the likely issue with the volume for making AUX work. If that still doesn't help I guess I'd suspect the connection cable. Maybe it isn't the right style?
Thanks everyone for the help although I couldn't get it to work I just downloaded the songs to my phone and used the same cable. It works now so I am happy but not happy about throwing money out the window on an Ipod.
there is absolutly no reason the iPod shouldn't work through the Aux port via your headphone output and the proper cable...check the volume on the iPod, otherwise exchange it.
