so finally got my truck back yesterday. And it appears, through several tests that the howling issue is finally gone. It took 3 trips to the dealer but they fixed it

1st trip: diagnosis issue but nothing done
2nd trip: dealer sent truck to the body shop to pull driver side door in. Eliminated some of the noise but still there
3rd trip: replaced driver side door seal. Sound completely gone

The only bad thing is that the door was adjusted and if you shut it lightly it won't shut completely. But, honestly I wouldn't notice it unless I knew that the door had been adjusted. A little firmer push and shuts just fine. Happy that the dealer addressed the issue and everything went smoothly with no debating or $$. A happy customer

Question wind noise

i have had my truck for about seven months and the other day my truck made this howling sound from the wind and it only happened during a crosswind, after reading everything posted i looked at the truck. in side the door hinge and could see ,tucked inside the fender behind the door hinge is a foam strip that has a lose fit and i was wondering if that could be the cause?

Mine was fixed after they replaced the door seals on both front driver and passenger side doors. It howled in any strong crosswind while driving on the highway. If they give you crap about not being able to duplicate sound, be persistent and make them change out the seals. No problems since, so far. To test if it is seals, push out on upper edge of door while driving. If sound changes, it is the door seals. Good luck.
