I tow my 6000lb camper and even with a weight distribution hitch it squats pretty bad. Anyone out there put the air bags on their truck yet? What brand and how difficult was the install? How do they effect the ride while towing?

I just installed firestone coil-rite airbags, with my trailer loaded up my truck rode on the bumpstops before, I'm running 20psi in each and it sits level now.

So do these work good and fit the same with your 4" superlift..would these bags fix the problem of the truck bed leaning to one side more than the other? mine is a little lower on the left

I just added a set a taller set of timberon bump stops. When I pulled my trailer with about 5000 lbs on it, it didn't squat any more than about a 1/2 inch.

I put a set of monroe air shocks after my 2/4 drop and it worked out great. I was told the the airride coil bags will not work as well. especially on a dropped truck since they are supposed to fill the spaces between the coils.

I'm running Firestone Ride-Rite Part # 2299 on my 07 2500HD Megacab. I loaded her up this past weekend with about a ton of firewood and she didn't squat much at all. I keep about 30 lbs in them and forgot to bump it up with my load but they held there own really well. I was really happy. Before the airbags, she'd be close to an inch from the bump-stops with that much weight. They don't stiffen up the ride when empty either.

I have mine installed with separate air valves so, I guess one could inflate one side a little more to level the load.

This is one mod I've very impressed with.

If your truck is squatting badly then you have to much tongue wt, have it measured and adjust, my boat loaded with trailer comes in on a scale at 6500lbs and you can barely see it squat looks more level than anything. if you don't believe me check my pic out in my album. Trailer is 1000lbs, boat is 3800 dry wt., motor is 550lb, fuel depends on how much the 150 gallon tank has in it, and then all the extra equipment and scuba tanks.
