Default Whoo Hoo! Got My Fuel Saver Light!

I took my truck in for an oil change and other items and told them about the TSB 08-007-10. They had no idea what it did, but when I picked up my truck today (after sitting for 3 days for exhaust manifold bolts), I had a fuel saver light! It's amazing how often it comes on, and I can't even hear any difference in the exhaust either. I also noticed that my Miles To Empty now reads down to 10 miles, before it would say Low Fuel at about 36 miles.

My truck is a 10/08 build so now we know this TSB will work for the early builds.

I have spoke to my deallership about this TSB and they had no clue but the more that I forced the issue I finnally got answers. If you complain that the Eco Light is not coming on and you talk about the driveablity is poor and give them your VIN they should be able to find the TSB. Be careful because some deallers are saying that you must pay but it is actually covered if you are still under the 3 year / 36,000 mile warrenty.

Had mine flashed with the TSB listed in this thread last week.

My build date is 09 2008. I have seen others with build dates of 08 2008 that worked so yours should also.

Was doing about 10 mph across a parking lot and it was in Fuel Saver mode. That surprised me. Another surprise was it working when the truck was cold, I had just started it up.

that place is a joke. I stopped in twice in the last few years to buy a truck, they acted like they couldnt deal at all so i went elsewhere... They did however call me about 30 times and leave as many messages to stop over and work something out... They need to work on working deals when the customer is in front of them. They were also 5k off of a deal that diehl in butler had worked with my dad and called him a liar that they would offer a deal like that. Wont ever go there again!

Thumbs down Crappy dealers cont!

Southside Dodge Red Deer Alberta Canada totally screwed me over. Dropped it off at 11:30. Told them I needed by 3:30 as I was taking 31 people in 5 different trailers out to the mountains! They said no problem.

As I never received a call, I called at 2:50 and was told it was done and I asked for a lift. They said 10 minutes no problem.

25 minutes later I phone and get hung up on. 35 Minutes later I phone and get hung up on. 45 minutes, you guessed it! I get hung up on! My wife gets home and gives me a ride.

I get there and the service adviser lies to me and tells me that the truck had all the updates. It has not been in since December!

Then he says well they updated it and re-flashed it! I get pissed and he then asks the service manager and he says that it was the internet's fault and that they couldnt find it. It said there was no update and therefore they could not apply it!

Now I am under the understanding that this is not an update!

You must make a specific complaint about this and then they would have to apply this tsb Flash!

I think the idiots were looking in the wrong place! Or even worse! They may have just billed dodge for it and done absolutely nothing!!!!

What do you think?

Some dealers are just not willing to pay out the money to get their techs trained in the newage electronics these trucks have. For a pickup it is wired like a house or a great big computer. My fear is the fly by wire. I like to be able to feel the connection to the truck, there is that slight delay ever so slight when you first take off, only time i notice anything. You are not obligated to got there, wait till you are making a trip somewhere that has a dealer not like you will die without a ECO light. I suspect by him saying it was the internet fault that it is a small dealer. I got that from place of purchase, but I dont' drive 50 miles for service.
