Only 50 miles on my new 2010 dodge crew with the 5.7 Hemi and etc light pops on. Carried back to dealer today they found 7 trouble codes. Changed out the throttle control valve from a stock truck on lots. No luck. ordering a PCM should be in tomorrow hope this works. Truck will not go into eco mode while light is on and lacks power. Any one shine some light on what might be problem. Thanks.

 

It sounds like your problem is something they should have caught at the plant.

 

How many of those 50 miles did you put on it at WOT?

 

i sold a couple of jeeps that had the ETC light pop on right after delivery and it required a new throttle body... no big deal just annoying for you unfortunately... so many electronics in the vehicles

 

No WOT was letting wife drive home from dealer she asked me whats this red light for. Had to pull out the owners manual less then 10 mins from dealership. Hope get better news from dealer tomorrow. They did give me a 2008 ram 4x4 to drive so at least got a nice set of wheels to drive while waiting on mine.

 

why would i make a difference if any of the 50 mile were done at wot

 

Called dealer to check on satus of truck. Would you believe the PCM are on back order. They said they might be able to get there hands on one by Friday. Asked them about pulling one off an identical truck to mine on lot but white. Service advisor said they couldn't due that due to each PCM is set up different will not work in my truck. I can't believe that as they are identical down to the last option. Any insight have been a Ford man first Dodge and trying to get up to speed.

 

I would be patient, keeping using their loaner till they fix your truck.Maybe you can get some oil changes for your inconvience.

 

It doesn't matter about WOT the plant when doing the rolls I have seen the speedo go over 100. Sometimes it doesn't take and they do it several times so I would not worry about that. A dealer once told me just drive the thing the way you are gonna all along and you should be good. Been kinda my way of going now.
