I would like to "clay bar" mine too but, I'm too impatient. However, I do use, "Kit, Scratch Out" on the hood and front fenders and then hit it with, "Turtle Ice". Smooth as a baby's bottom and nice deep shine.

I have been using Meguiar's products for years, I have heard alot of good things about the Turtle Wax Ice. Do you guys that are using it have any experiance with Meguiars? If so do you think the ICE is better?

If I'm in a hurry, I'll use ICE, but you still can't replace a nice carnuba or synthetic wax.

It just comes down to time for me.

This is a 2008 Avie that I did in 5 hours with total detail on everything and not just the outside.

I like Meguires Gold Class, It lasts nice. Ice wax works nice, I like the fact you do it whenever.
My favourite over all is Zymol bout 30 bucks a bottle and your trucks will smell like a pina colada for days , no bees don't come around

I used Meguiars before switching to Turtle Ice, still have a bottle of detailer to finish up.

I found Meguiars to be an excellent product, but we have some of the worst water in the world in the Sacramento Valley. It spots almost as soon as it hits the truck and I have to use the clay bar frequently so I am always reapplying wax.

With Ice it makes it so much easier and on a black truck looks great. In my personal opinion I think it is a step better and as I mentioned in another post, I don't have to be careful putting it on around rubber and vinyl because it shines that up too.

I noticed some stains on my hood and I think they are berry stains from a tree nearby. My friend recommended Meguires #9? Never heard of it or the Turtle Wax Ice. Any suggestions?
Also, do our trucks have a clear coat applied, or is it just paint? Would'nt clear coat prevent stains? You should be able to wash it off? Clay bar? I have no garage and am in direct sun all day long.

I have a Ford sitting outside for 11 years and the finish is as good as new. I know it has the clear coat.

I am going to do it a little different on this one and go with the polymer protectants only. I have used the TWI before and was not impressed, however I read if you apply it over something that has been waxed it does not bond very well. The Turtle Wax interior protectant sucked. No better than Armorall, and messy as hell to use. I haven`t found anything yet for the interior I do like, but Im still looking. I paid for the paint protection package and it provides the polymer coating free for the life of the truck so I will use that and only that twice a year. It is super slick and dirt wipes right off.

Turtle Wax Ice- are you using the spray or the paste? Do you think it would work well on the chrome clad wheels?
