Default Just took delivery: final deal for those comparing and learning

Got what I think is a good deal here in Cincinnati. Had a lot of trouble finding exactly what I wanted color/options on the 4 Dodge dealers here in Cincy. None of the trucks had everything I wanted but they were dealing to gets existing inventory off the lots. Took a week of haggling, several "What can we do make you sign today?" attempts, and lots of pitting the dealers against each other. I like the haggle. The deal number went like this (trading in a 2007 Toyota Tundra extra cab 5.7 4x4) for RAMS in th 39-40K range:

Visit 1: 34K RAM, 16 Trade in
Visit 2: 31K RAM, 17.5 Trade in

(a bunch of phone calls back and forth, a couple white lies about what other dealers were offering)

Visit 3: 29 RAM, 18.5 trade
Today final: 27K RAM, 19,200 trade

So just took delivery of a 2010 Quad Cab, Big Horn, 5.7L, 4x4 with:

Bed Liner
Step up bars
Special pin striping
Some clear coat paint package (whatever)
At cost 5yr/100K extended warranty ($750)

for $27,000 (12K off MSRP). Plus better than excellent trade in value per KBB and to sign today finally they they are paying my first payment.

Probably still go me somewhere but came in way lower than the other Dodge dealers would do here in Cincinnati. And that price point they finally quit calling and had nothing left to offer. After 3 days no more calls I believed they reached their bottom line. Plus got a monthy payment at same 60 months $40 less than Totyota Tundra payment - so wife is happy

Hope that deal info helps someone. If you got a WAY better deal, dont tell me about it

The white lies about what other dealers are offering is my favourite thing to do, they ask what dealership, I say well shall I go back there and make the deal, only heard that once.
Got a phone call 2 hours later, I can make the deal did you do it already. Now I want more just for all the gas running back and forth, this is where you get free oil changes and things like that. Lotsa games, they know who to play them too. You can tell when they are done playing. You will have the price you want and the toys too.

Nice deal... The big question is what interest rate did you get? I opted to get $2500 off MSRP and 0% interest. Of course the 09 came with the lifetime warranty

I didn't quite get that good of deal on mine. Mine stickered 42600 and I got it for 32400 with them throwing in rhino liner and oil changes for two years. I would have had it for 31400 if I took gmac financing but the rate was up in the 7s. I was trying to trade in my 07 tundra sr5 dc 2wd 5.7 with 42K on it but it was right after all the gas pedal bs and they would only give me 16500 and I owed 17200 on it. I love everything about my new ram but I have to tell you that the Tundra's 5.7 paired with 6 speed straight up scream and burnt rubber everywhere. Other than that I have no regrets.

I got 3.94. The lifetime powertrain warranty is different from the Extended 5/100 I think. The 5/100 covers all the other little stuff that breaks.
