Default Considered Normal when buying?

I had put a down payment on a vehicle on Monday and they had it brought in from another dealership. The vehicle arrived today and I figured I could pick up tomorrow, but was told not until Saturday. Does prep time typically take that long? Just weird it showed up today and I have to wait two days to fill out paperwork and get the vehicle.

If the shop is backed up and PDI had never been done by the original dealer. My dealer brought our truck in and they cleaned it and checked everything over so I would not be disappointed if womething was missed...I understand the desire to pick up the new truck...

Nothing to worry about, their just fixing the damage from shipping (rollover, t-bone, etc)..

If they say they have the truck just stop in and say I want to see my truck. Dont let them know your coming so you can make sure that there is nothing wrong with it.

I will tell you that my truck showed up at 8am from the shipping yard and I drove it off the lot at noon. They washed it and did all the checks while I was doing the paperwork.

Lot of time dealer trades are just dirty from sitting and they need to be detailed, may even have a door ding from sitting on the lot. Many new cars and trucks get lot damage and there are people who specialize in fixing it. Even if it needs a PDI they should get it out in a day, they want to sell you that truck more than you want to buy it..

Stop buy and check it out if they are close by, thats what I would do.
