People who are into trucks may ask "Does it have a HEMI?" If someone tells me they bought a Dodge RAM truck, I don't ask this question lol. As for never hearing of VQ and Nissan not being proud, like I said it won wards 2002-2007 best engine so I think that is something to be proud of. VQ is just the name of the engine, for instance in my car it is a VQ35DE, and the Infinities are on the newer VQ37VHR with VVEL. I agree it's a marketing thing, and Dodge has done it well.

The only full size truck that doesnt really show their displacement is chevy with the exception of the Vmax. Its almost impossible to tell a part a V6 from their 4.8 or 5.3.
As far as the TRITON goes, i have no clue. It sounds tough, until you drive it.

But think about the main target audience for a Dodge Ram truck - male, 30 - 50, mostly blue collar. The Hemi name/badge gets people's attention.
Are you kidding my son who is 19 wants one, my wife drives ours way more than me. So I think your off a bit, I see women in them all the time. Probably the male 30 to 50 is the one paying for it !!!

You just described my situation. 35 year old making the truck payment. Wife now drives "The Hemi" or the fire truck as the kids call it. I'm back to driving my 11 year old suv.

I've also noticed many more women driving the 4th gen Rams than males. See at least 4 every day driving into work. Got 2 women from my office that drive one too. White collar, software industry....

That's funny you mention the women wanting these trucks. The day I brought mine home, my neighbor across the street came running over to see it. She even took my window sticker because she wants the exact same truck. I guess it has sex appeal.

I met my wife because of a 1985 GMC Sierra 3/4 ton4x4 big *** tires and wheels lift kit, Was plain jane inside didn't even have air!!! But it had a decal stripe kit made it look sweet. Header and duals had a sweet sound and 411 posi it was fun. I plowed with it for a few years paid it off. Traded for an 88 pickup 4x4 it was quick, didn't plow with it. Was much more luxurious, nothing my RAM but was nice. We went to a car cuz of second kid then actually I think my wife was more disappointed than I was. We will be in trucks all the time, or own one all the time. Hoping to put a Challenger in the garage for Sundays, hoping to get an SRT 8. Gotta sell the 72 Chevy but needs a new estimate now that it's close to being done.
So don't forget men CHICKS dig trucks.
