Default 911...Lowering Instructions Needed, Front Coils

Please help. I received and started my 2-4 economy lowering kit and have finished the rear, but did not get instructions with the coils for the front. I plan on doing the front in the morning.... Please, please, please. If you done it and still have your instrustions, that would be great. Of even if you know how. If you can scan them, please email to todshoe@yahoo.com

No need for instructions man. Heres what i did.
Jack it up on jack stands
take caliper off 13/16 for two bolts
take upper shock nut off 5/8 and 10mm
take lower shocks bolts out 1/2
take shock out
take sway bar nut and bushings off 3/4 i believe
take tie rod nut off 13/16
take upper balljoint nut off 13/16

now be very carefull when take balljoint nut off. Use a jack under lower a arm to help releive tension

the above tool measurements are based on my standard tools i have due to workibg on aircraft so you can use the metric equivelent.

It would help if you electrical taped the upper spring isolators to springs for ease of installation.

Don't for get to get an ALIGNMENT

Hope this helps and use locktite fit assembly. If anybody else see's something i for got please add. Aloha

i dont know exactly how we did it.. but we had a lift. So we lifted it up and took the brake calipers off.. this way we didnt need a spring compressor or anything

I've tore the front apart on mine about ten times now trying to get the perfect stance and this is pretty much dead on.

I will point out that you will want to get a ball joint fork to knock the upper ball joint loose. As said above, make sure you put the floor jack under the lower control arm or you'll get a nasty and extremely painful if not deadly surprise when the spring comes flying out. You'll also want to take the wheel speed sensor wire loose from all the fastners, you won't have to pull from the hub.

I've got it down to under an hour for each side including cutting some off the coil each time. I just did this again yesterday and it's settled nicely over night. Drive around and give it a couple of days to settle before getting the alignment.

Thanks again for all the input. Rides good, little rough, but sporty. Just wish it was a little lower in the front.

Looks good and very similar to mine. What are your fender to ground measurements? Also be glad that you got the economy drop because the deluxe didn't lower the front of mine a true two inches. My rear was lower than the front by 1/2" or so. I cut a little off my stock coils to bring it down some.

Now that you know how easy it is, you could pull the springs a trim a small amount to get the hight you want. Careful how low you go with only springs as there is a limit as to the alignment. I had mine at 4" below stock with just springs and couldn't get the negative camber out even with the alignment bolts at max.
