i have a 2009 slt. i want to slap on sport bumpers on my slt. are they compatible, front and rear?

Actually you are wrong. My Dodge Dealer has done a few of them for people. They said its a little bit of a headache to put the front on as they dont do it every day but it does fit. Also a few people on another Dodge Forum have swapped.


And the rear bumpers are exactly the same design just one is crome. haha

I've heard of some people doing it too. I have toyed with the idea too so I was doing some looking around and it looked like it was going to be about $500 / bumper. It seems like you could just do the front and the chrome rear wouldn't look too bad.

 

They're not compatible. A sport bumper can be put on but there's a lot more to it than just swapping them out. I almost did it to my laramie but decided it wasn't worth it.

Yes, the bumpers are interchangeable. Sport and chrome bumpers both bolt onto the frame via common attachment points front and rear.

 

It can be done but there is a lot of work involved and it's not cheap. All the little parts you'll need for the conversion will nickel and dime you.

Unfortunately it's not a straight swap of take the cover off and that's it.
