Default Smoking Exhaust

I pulled my truck forward so it wouldn't get dirty from powerwashing the house. I let her sit for an hour or so. I started her back up when I got done and put her in reverse. As soon as I hit the gas, a huge cloud of smoke came out for a brief second. It looked bluish. I saw in the search that a few guys have experienced this problem. I didn't know if anyone came to the conclusion. The gas I have in there now, I've run 3/4 of a tank without problems. I have a 1/4 tank left. I've used this gas religiously for 14k miles. My exhaust tips are very dirty and that has concerned me since I've owned the truck. I recently went to the mufflex delete but I don't think that would be a factor as I've had other trucks with muffler deletes. It just has be a little worried. I didn't know if there were any updates.

Ya but steam is not blue. You should be under warranty by time still but what is your mileage.

Black tips certainly isn't good. Either oil or a motor running too rich. Since your smoke is bluish aounds like oil.

How much oil is the truck using between oil changes?

Just a heads up... I work for Mercedes-Benz and knowing that the 08-presant Chrysler products still have some of the M-B nuts and bolts in them, Almost every time you start a Mercedes there is a blueish tint smoke and then it clears up within 10 seconds. So pretty much you can say that's normal, Unless the blueish smoke gets worse then I'd go to the dealer. (just my .02 to you)

This is the first time this has ever happened. The truck has 14k on it. I haven't noticed any oil lose. It's always at the same level. I might try to get that gasoline additive to clean it up. A guy at work uses it and his exhaust pipe looks brand new on the inside. I have to use an additive on all my diesels. I guess I'll just keep my eye on it.

I had two Fords that did that and they went well over 150,000 miles and they both started to smoke on start up at 60,000 miles.

It will only do it when you run the engine for a short time. Mine does it all the time but only after I've moved the truck out of the driveway to get one of the motorcycles out of the garage. I've wrote it off as being normal and feel it will be covered under the lifetime powertrain warranty if it comes to it.
