Default HTC EVO & U Connect

Not sure what's going here but my first Evo phone I paired with my U Connect in my truck with in minutes it was that quick and easy. Well I had to replace my Evo with a new one but that is another story so anyways for the life of me I can not pair my truck with my replacement phone I tried everything so I thought I would post on here I'm sure there are some Htc Evo peps on here to lend a hand, thanks.

I can't speak to the EVO but I have a Motorola W376g phone that I haven't been able to make work with Uconnect for more than 1 minute. Needless to say I am not a big fan of Uconnect.

This may seem like a silly question but is the EVO's Bluetooth turned on? I have an Epic (Android like the EVO) and it connected almost instantly to Uconnect on a 2010 truck. It DID NOT until I turned bluetooth on. I keep most of the "extras" turned off with the App Killer because of battery life (as you are certainly aware)......

I have the EVO and have paired it a few times without problems. What you need to do first is delete the pairing from the radio system setup. The on the phone, turn on bluetooth and place it in discoverable mode. Then on the radio, enter a 4-digit passcode and it will say begin pairing procedure on phone. On the phone, Scan for new devices and UConnect will show up. Pair with UConnect and it should take about 30 seconds and then the radio will prompt to enter phone priority, etc. Then on the phone it will prompt you to allow UConnect to access your EVO's phonebook where you can select "always" so that when you get into your vehicle it will automatically download the EVO's phonebook.

same thing here. My EVO connected a few times last month and now the thing will not connect toany phone. I called uconnect support and all they said was that its up to HTC to come out with an upgrade for the phones system. I'm at a lost for words but Imma try pulling the fuse today after work.

Been running my Evo with it, no problems. I remember it was a pain figuring out how to pair it, but once paired, it's not had any problems.

I see that the EVO seems to be popular phone here. I favored the EVO myself but I have AT&T so I settled for the iPhone4...makes me wish I had UConnect in my truck now!
