The truck I have is a 1500. Since my shifter in on the column and my truck didnt come originally with the center console, I need this part to swap out the shifter.

Where did you get this diagram? Could you find one for a 2010 2500/3500? That could show the part Im looking for.

The parts diagrams aren't widely available for the 2010's which is what I was saying in my earlier post. I know that my local dealer can find it, but I would have to have the last 9 digits of the VIN # for a truck that HAS the part that you are looking for. Best thing to do would be to go by the dealership, look for a truck with that option, write down the VIN #, and call the dealership. If you want to give me the VIN, I can try to track down the part for you.

Here is a VIN for a truck I just pulled off of ebay.

It's 3D73Y4HLXAG160983.

Thanks for your help. I know most dealers have been sending me diagrams of the floor console that comes on the trucks that have the flip up armrest, and I tell them its the piece that has 2 cup holders then a little bin type thing and they say well this one has 3 cup holders it must be it.

The parts diagram that they sent showed basically the same illustration as the first one I posted earlier. The only difference was that the part that was labeled "shifter" on the RAM 1500 diagram was listed as "BIN, Floor Console" on the RAM 2500 diagram.

The part number he gave me for that part was 1JX21DX9AA and it was around $20. Not sure if this is your part or not, but it's the most likely that I've found. The problem is that Dodge reuses parts diagrams if they are similar, even if there are differences in the actual parts. I think this is what is making it difficult for the dealerships to figure out which part you need.

Here are the diagrams that I was sent. You can see in the picture that the part I circled looks like it has a shifter, but none of the 2500's have a console shifter. The part is also labeled differently like I said earlier, as "BIN, Floor Console" rather than "Shifter".

I would take this or fax it to your dealership and tell them that is the part you are looking for, but don't give them the part number I gave you earlier unless you have to, because I'm not entirely confident in the guy I talked to.

I just verified through another dealership that the part number is 1JX21DX9AA for the part circled in that diagram. It's looking like this may be your part. They quoted $16. For that price, it may be worth ordering just to find out.

I just got off the phone with the parts guy at the dealer, and he says he called a dealer with that part number and when the described it to him, it didnt sound anything like what he was looking for.

I was also figuring that piece would be $60 to $100.

The parts guy said he has a call into Chrysler. Dont know if that will amount to anything.
