Default Muffler power loss

I added a Magnaflo 3'' in/ dual 2.5 out and have noticed a low end power loss. Should I convert back to a 3'' in/out using a flowmaster 50 hd which will give me a bit more back preassure.

I have read of muffler swaps and cutouts on several forums. No muffler etc.and mo mention of power loss or gains. I noticed nothing different with my swap only the noise.Fuel mpg didn't budge either.

OKAY, THATS TRUE....
When i changed my exhaust to a flowmaster,
i lost 3tenths in the 1/4 mile, dont get me wrong,
the sound was great in every way, but i did notice
that my truck did not have as much torque as it should...

so i put the stock exhaust & took my truck back
to the track & i was running consistant times again...

i had to play with different exhaust systems
until i finally found one that not only sounds good
when idle, ohh man when i turn the truck on " i love it "
& when i floor it, dammm,.. lol.. it turns heads like crazy,
plus i gain'd 4tenths in the track...

& the exhaust system
was custom made my a friend of mine....
it has no restrictions what so ever...

LOL, yes it did. You had a FM, which is about the worst for performance, great for sound.

Is the loss from going to 3'' in/dual 2.5'' single exhaust? or Should I go with the 3'' in/out?
