Have a 2012 Dodge Ram 1500 , my key fob to let the wimdows down does not work
and my dealer does not seem to know anything about this feature. Can it be programed into my truck?

Check your owner's manual in the 'Remote keyless entry' section. Look for 'Remote Open Window Feature - if equipped'. It's on p. 23 in the 2010 manual. Doesn't say anything about a way to enable it, so if the instructions don't work for you then your RAM is probably not 'equipped' with it.

Remote Open Window Feature — If Equipped
This feature allows you to remotely lower both front door
windows at the same time. To use this feature, press and
release the UNLOCK button on the RKE transmitter and
then immediately press and hold the UNLOCK button
until the windows lower to the level desired or until they
lower completely.

Paul,

The poster above is correct. You do not have that feature.

Is there a way to get this installed... easily? I read about this and got all excited and come to find out, they don't have it as an option on the 2012

Your excitement is unwarranted. Believe me.

Wouldn't say that... I find its one of the niftier tricks they ever installed thats actually useful. Especially when you have these heat wave days and the interior temp goes to 50C or more, its kind of nice to lower the windows from the house and let it air out before heading out.

I think it would be awesome. It's hot in SC and it would beat using remote start n wasting gas.
