Default Spark plug starter & remover tool

So I need to change my plugs soon and asked my neighbor who is a tech at a dealership what would help get down in the head, he recommended a a spark plug starter & remover tool. I looked around for his description of one and came across what looks like a rubber boot plug holder at autozone for $6.99, he said if I find one it's like five bucks so that must be it.

Has anyone else got one of these for reaching down in the head after loosening the plug, and how well does it work?

I always just used a magnet on an extension and its always worked for me. They have them at any place that sells tools.

Or you can get a length of rubber fuel hose sized to just fit over the tip of the plug. That lets you lower the plug down the hole and get the threads started, then you just pull it off. That doesn't help for removing them, but you can just stick a 'magnet on a stick' down if they for some reason don't stay in the plug socket.

I changed mine with a spark plug socket that had a rubber insert inside it. I used it and a few extensions with no problem, the plugs stayed in the socket when I pulled it out.
