Default A New Generation

Well I just made the switch from a 2nd Generation to a 4th Generation Dodge Ram. I hate giving up my old tried, rebuilt and tested '97 but it was a regular cab and we needed something bigger so I just made a deal on a 1500 Crew Cab. I live in NY and it's in-transit and should be in Virginia in a week or so where I have to pick it up. I've been looking on-line trying to find what I wanted in a truck for the past two weeks and after careful thought and patience, I found it, almost. This one has a sunroof which I really didn't want, will never use and hopefully don't have problems with but the pickings are slim with the current incentives and my desires. Although my last Ram was a fairly constant backyard project, it beats owning a Ford or Chevy any day. IMHO.

congrats; driving a few hours is always better than settling for something you don't want btw.
on the sunroof, check out this thread:
https://dodgeforum.com/forum/4th-gen...of-leak-2.html
particularly RRT 08-081--crew cabs w/ sunroof
if your truck is new, i'm sure it either will not apply or has already been done but certainly doesn't hurt to check.
good luck & welcome to 4th gen

Thanks Jaws. Yeah I saw those posts on the sunroof before I bought the truck. One of the reasons I was trying to get one without it but as I said, the pickings were slim, I couldn't get one in the time frame I needed it and this one had everything else I wanted. I'll just keep my fingers crossed the leaks are fixed with the bulletin. It's not like there aren't sunroofs on a lot of cars and trucks, they should be able to figure it out.

Anyone else have a 2010 with a sunroof and problems after the fix?
