Default Buying soon. I have ??? Gears, packages, models...

Hi, thanks for looking.

Im looking at this model truck from Ebay 190416602001.

Can someone explain the gearing to me please. Dodge offers the 3.21, 3.92 and I believe they offer a 3.42...

What does this mean?

I'm only getting the truck for looks and cruising.

Can someone tell me if the ebay truck is a good deal? Sorry folks for the tall order. This will be the first NEW truck i buy.

When you say soon you must mean within about 15 hours since that is when the auction ends. If you are buying the truck for looks and cruising then why are you worried about gears? If you want the truck then buy it, a "good deal" will change from person to person but if its what you want and what you can afford then its a good deal.

Most owners with 3.92 rear axle differential gears report satisfaction more often than not in regards to fuel economy, acceleration performance and towing capacity.

Those that travel mostly in city driving report better economy than those with 3.55 or 3.21.

Hope this helps.

I thought it was the opposite... 3.92 was better for city driving and towing, 3.55 and 3.21 were better for highway mpg.

That's what I thought I said. After re-reading my post, I see the confusion. Thanks bigblue

REVISED: Those that travel mostly in city driving report better economy with the 3.92 than those with 3.55 or 3.21.

Thanks for the gearing info. I drive 90% city 10 % highways.

As for the truck on ebay I was using it as a benchmark. They have plenty of these for sale. Never bought a new truck and wanted to see what your thoguht were on the equipment it offered.

Thanks.
