To say it is "normal" is wrong. My truck has no vibration in the pedal or wheel.

I get it at around 40-45mph as well. It is not the MDS. I still believe it is the tires. Mine got worse after I rotated the rears to the front. Check and see if you tires are starting to get choppy or the rear edge of the outside lugs are starting to raise. Mine does it in tow haul, 1st, 2nd, 3rd etc., and when stepping on the gas to WOT right at 45mph..... I drive mainly on twisty, hilly back roads where the MDS would not be kicking in. So it is not the mds.

Feels like your driving over Ruffles potato chip ridges....

If not the tires it has to be drive train related. U-Joints, front axle CV joints.... I was going to jack up all 4 and see if still made the vibration with the wheels of the ground...Have not gotten around to it yet... Someone should try it.

I think ya'll missed the point of my first post. The one guy was saying it could have been the MDS causing the vibration. The reason I posted anything about 85 mph was the fact that traveling at that rate of speed, there would be no way the MDS would have been activated.

it is NOT mds............it's harmonics of the engine. and the ability/ or lack of the mounts/dampeners to isolate them.

I just picked my truck up from the dealership. They told me they balanced the tires and that the vibration was gone. Guess what??? It's not. It's the same as before. Can't wait to call them tomorrow to see what they say. I'm not going to drive this truck for the next 5 years with a vibrating gas pedal and steering wheel..

If anyone has a solution to the problem please let me know or if anyone was able to get a new truck..

My truck only has 700 miles on it.

I wish I could do it, but I wonder if anyone had a different set and size of tires that had the rubbing could swap out the OEM tires and see if it still did it....
I don't have a spare set.

Ive had my truck in for this before as well, only happens at 30km/h which means it is drivetrain related, not engine. It happened before and after I lifted the truck with two different sets of tires. They told me it was a bent wheel and that I'd have to replace it, not under warranty. I called bull**** and left, there is no way it is a bent wheel - the tech deserves a slap for that shot in the dark. My guess would be driveshaft imbalance.

See if you can find out what's rubbing, the firewall or the frame,or steering comp. I put on headers, that were to close to the brake booster-hell of a vibration.

my truck was shaking like crazy at highway speeds, the faster I went the worse it got.... turns out the problem was mud in the wheels throwing it out of balance, the big wide wheels on these trucks are perfect spots for mud to stick and it took a lot of effort to clean them out at the car wash, I went through three cycles with the wand sprayer to blow them out completely

after cleaning them right out the truck is now smooth as silk even at high speeds!

I was thinking it was broken suspension or something it was so bad, cleaned out all the dried mud and voila, perfect again
