Uneven tire wear
Lots of tread design is prone to feathering. To the original OP. Pictures are worth a thousand words. Lets see the wear your talking about. I have 37,000 on my truck. I have nothing bad to say about the factory Goodyear's. I rotate maybe every 6k. I didn't last 6k due to the wear looked great just where they were. Maybe 50% worn. Some edge feathering, looks normal to me for the type tread pattern they are. Drives straight and true. No vibrations and never balanced them. Ride is smooth and soft/car like. Keep around 35psi fronts,30psi rear unless towing my fifth wheel. Then its 45psi rear.
Mine are chopped as well. 22K on 'em. Sounds like I am going over a metal bridge. I had the alignment checked and it is spot on. Dealer told me I needed to rotate more often. Ummmmm...how many times should have rotated them. I already did it 4 times. Every oil change. I guess I should come home from work every day and rotate tires?
I too was wondering what tires people are getting for their 20" rims?
I figure I will need them by this winter.
