Default Installed Airaid CAI and not Happy!

Just curious if anyone has the Airaid CAI and experiences low end bogging. The truck runs better in the upper rpm's. Dealer said I need a larger throttle body. Is that true. They said a 100mm would make it run just fine?

I was just going to post a similiar problem. I installed a Mopar cold air intake and it seems very sluggish on the bottom end. When I floor it the truck is sluggish as I lift my foot off the gas slowly it starts to make more power. I ahve no idea what it can be.

I haven't noticed a loss in low end either. In fact i sometimes can get my tires to spin from a dead stop which i was never able to do before the cai with my 3.55 gears. You could buy a superchips programmer and that would help a lot. I just got mine last week and it made a very big difference in my low end.

I just installed an Airaid on Thursday. So far I've seen no problems at all with low end power. Of course I'm running Superchips 93 tune and 4.10 gears, so that might affect my results some.

I installed the Mopar also a few months back and now have the same problem also. I was going to take it in to the dealer thinking something was wrong with the truck. When I first installed it; it ran fine. Seem to be alot more responsive than it is now on the low end. Just as your saying DroopyDog; Just really bogging down on the low end.

aftermarket intakes have been know to lose torque at the low end but gain hp and torque at higher rpms. i have had this happen on my old expedition that i put an intake on. had a little torque loss with the intake on versus stock.

my truck has been running a lil different since i moved back to indiana.

but im attributing that to the difference in elevation to los angels and the fact were at 110 heat index lately and even 80F at 11pm

i miss the 60-80 degrees santa monica provided year round lol .. but not the traffic

For those of you experiencing loss of performance with the CAI's, did you change out the stock exhaust or muffler? This could be part of the problem.
