Default rear air vents-NO AIR

I never noticed this, but my kids complained recently during a 12hour drive to Chicago from MD. There is almost ZERO air that comes out of those stupid vents in the back. I have the crew, and its big, and the back needs air...is there a fix, bulletin, something

thanks

there are other posts reguarding this problem, when i read up i looked into it and noticed that nothing flows out the vents in my crew either. i'm guessing its cosmetic, kinda upset that we pay alot of $$$ for a truck and it has lack luster AC. I had a 02 ram regular cab and i was able to see my breath with ac on. i hardly use my ac in my 09 whats the point....

I get cold air out of the rear vents. But it is not blowing nearly as hard as the ones in front. Whats the deal with those under seat vents? Those never blow any air. Are these the ones you are asking about?

These trucks suck when it comes to the blower fan. I have to turn my fan on high and have it on max air to get it to cool my truck some days. I have been to the dealer and checked other trucks and they all have the same problem...these fans do not move that much air. My dad just got a 2011 superduty and that thing will freeze you out after only about 3 minutes, his blower fan will almost blow your hair around. As far as the rear vents go, i'm just assuming that since our fans are weak then it has trouble forcing the air back there. Mine will barely put air out the back too.

there is air that comes out back there, but it is just routed from the front system it is not a 2 system truck. nor two fans. I forget what setting it needs to be to come out back there.

I live in FL and Saturdays temp was 97 and no problem with my AC. The cold air coming from the front vents will certainly blow what hair I have all around. Don't know how cold you want it to get but dealer can check temps at vent location to be sure system is putting out cold air to Dodge specs.

We have had some 90 plus days and the a/c works fine in our truck, nobody riding in the back complains if you put your center vents facing towards the back all is well. Also I forget what setting but those vents under the seat I get complaints of cold feet from the back so I would get your trucks checked out. I should admit I have never really been a fan of Chrysler A/C but this truck rocks ice cold so far.Over a year and a half.

I notice in my truck the rear vents don't work when I have to air location setting on auto. If I turn the setting to the top vents only, the air comes out in the back vents in the center console.
