Default $ 1200

I got a bid of $1200 to switch my reg cab short bed 20" wheels. 2wd gears from 3.21 to 3.92 with limited slip. Does this sound right or is this too much. I have heard this guy is a gear wizz. From what most of you say its the best thing you can do to your truck. Just wanting to know what you guys think ?

you could get an aftermarket gear driven limited slip for that money but it depends what you do with your truck. thats about right for the ring and pinion and the limited slip carrier from dodge. you should talk to your salesman to see if he could get you the parts with his discount and that would drop the price a bit but that is a fair price for a gear and limited slip conversion

For that much $$$ I'd look on car-part.com for a complete axle that already has the 3.92's swap it in and sell your old axle.

Does that include labor?

You can buy the entire backend for $1,200 with the Mopar LSD and 4.10 gears. The dealer would charge you about $1,800 for that then $600 in labor.

Regeared the front and back in my Jeep for $800. I wouldn't think regearing necessary if you're just swapping rims though.

If the new rims are included, it might be worth doing, but it shouldn't cost but about $400 to regear an axle.
