Default 2010 oil change interval

the interval of an oil change is based on driving conditions and habits. there is a name for it but i don't recall what my dodge tech said. but all stop and go driving will be sooner vs all hwy driving will increase the interval!

Yes, it's been like this for a couple of years now, the 09s and 10s. Same system as Mercedes had about 10 years ago. Lots of Daimler technology in the 4th gens.

Well the manual says 10000km's or 6 months and for a while the dealer was doing that but for some reason they started going back to the 3 months or 5000km's. That is what I do anyway but for warranty purposes I would think the requirement in what the owners manual says correct? It is crazy because the oil change light would come on way before 10000 km or 6 months maybe that is why? Is it the same where you guys go?

I'm at 8400kms on my Ram, and still no light. I checked with the service dept. to be sure, and they suggested I wait until I see the notification, or 10000kms if the light doesn't come on.

there is no way of changing the interval it is preprogrammed to your driving as staed before. I reposted this as there were some previous posts about it. eclip. what do you do for driving ( other than pedle mashed)
