Default Remove resonators or Mufflex?

Looking for just a slight increase in sound, no cabin droan, etc. Trying to figure if I should just get the resonators removed for $50-$70 or go with the Mufflex 18" or 24" at $249.00+ Shipping. Any thoughts?

I'd try just removing the resonators, if that doesn't make it loud enough for you just pick up a magnaflow and have someone weld it in. It's actually cheaper to get a muffler and have a shop install it than getting the mufflex.

i removed my resonators awhile back and it gave a very slight increase in sound, now i just put on the mufflex dod24m and that gave quite a bit more sound. The combo of the 2 sounds great, really no drone and it quiets down at highway speed, only alittle drone when i towing my camper.

I love mine.. Sounds great, no drone.. Pick up a used one, there have been a few on here for sale, some people think they are too quiet.

Thanks for all the responses. Going to talk with a muffler shop this week and get a quote on both ways. Maybe if the price diff is not that bad, I'll just go with the muffler. Or order the Mufflex kit?

You can get the muffler for $80-90 online from somewhere like amazon, then the install should only be $80-100, maybe less. It's cheaper than the mufflex, since the mufflex is just a magnaflow w/ some pipe and hangers it's not worth their price IMO.

Chambers is right, mufflex is overpriced. I did a write up a while back here https://dodgeforum.com/forum/4th-gen...-question.html that gives part #'s for the magnaflow muffler from Autozone (free shipping to the store). Including the muffler, tax and welding, I paid right at $160 installed and have been real happy with it. It literally took the welder about 15 minutes to remove the old muffler and weld the new one in.
