I did one on my 09 last summer and you are right it was not hard just time consuming. If I stick with the Daystar kit, for $100 bucks to have someone else do it and only take two hours, I'm all in! If I decide to do the Mopar kit I will have the dealer do it to keep warranty. Between my kids playing Sports and my schedule time is precious. Plus I am getting lazy as I get older'

i had a 02 ram 2wd with a level kit and i did it myself 1.5'' i think just the front no alignment took 2 hours maybe. so i know what needs to be done to get it installed my concern is the waranty. I'll get the mopar kit and probably a .5 or a .75 for the rear. what i want to do is install the kit myself and then go get some rims and tires at tire discounters which honors their free alignment. in all it saves me like $250.00 labor short term but if something happens down the road in a few years whats dodge going to say "sorry" you did it yourself not covered under the waranty.

Well, after hearing that the install is only around $250 I decided to do the Mopar kit. I ordered the kit this morning and was told 3-10 days for delivery. I also talked to the service guy about install and tire installation. I have to say I have a pretty good service department. I got my tires from somewhere else yet they are willing to put them on and cover them if I have any problems. My guess right now is I should have everything on by the end of next week. For anyone who has the Mopar leveling kit, did it come with spacers for the rear or is it just the front? As for my Daystar kit I am going to try to return it. If they won't let me I will be looking to sell it. If anyone is interested PM me. The Daystar kit is the 2.5" front and 1" rear kit.

The MOPAR kit contains only the front strut spacers I believe; however there was some talk a few months back that a kit was being developed with stiffer rear coil springs to raise the rear, not sure where that stands.

Mopar21277, I see you are running 275 65 20's. Are you running a lift or are you stock? This is the tire size I am going with once I level the truck.

275 60 20's are stock tires...if you use the setup I have you can run 285 65 20, which is 34.7" high and 11.5" wide. Any bigger than that and it will rub. I havent put them on my truck yet because I havent decided between BFG All Terrains or GoodYear Duratracs. My advise though is if you are going to buy the 2 or 2.5" front spacers, order at least a 1" for the back at the same time, because once you see that the back sags you will put the order in for the rears. Ready Lift makes the SST kit which is 2.5" front and 1.5" rear...I wish I had ordered that one instead of doing what I did.

I know this, he is running 275/65/20's which is a 34.1 x 11. This is the same size tire I bought this weekend in a BF Goodrich All Terrain. I am staying away from the 285's because I have heard of some issues with rubbing, not everyone but a few. Plus they will stick out a little farther and I didn't want that. I am simply looking to make my truck look like a truck and not like it has been lifted. Kind of a sleeper, that looks stock but better! As for the rear I plan on ordering a 1" spacer for the rear and adding Airbag helper's. Spacer's for the rear are either going to come from the Daystar kit I already bought or I will order something.
