Default Does 6060 #'s sound right?

2010 Laramie 4X4 CC 5.7 Hemi 3.92 w/vinyl toneau cover and hitch.

I went to the scales this morning with a full tank (26 Gal.) and just me(200#'s), the weight was 6060 #'s. Does that sound right?

If I add in my wife and two kids (380#'s) it puts me at 6440#'s. That only leaves 360#'s for payload and tongue weight @ GVWR of 6800. I haven't seen a decent TT yet that has that low a tongue weight. HD isn't an option unless I want a divorce. I'm just looking to clarify/confirm my numbers. The 6060#'s seems high.

Thanks in advance.

find a scale and weigh it. Its not as light as you think. according to the dodge website my truck should only be 5308 pounds. I have weighed it at 6000 and that was with a full tank of gas and only me in it.

So, realistically, I can't tow much with my brand new truck because of the limited payload capacity. I thought as much but hoped I was wrong. My own fault for just going by the towing capacity being hyped and not looking at all the factors involved.

Thanks for the input.

According to my Certificate of Origin, my R/T shipping weight was 4,560. I believe that's with 5 gal of gas from the factory.

Look at your door jam sticker. It will say "total weight of cargo and occupants should not exceed XXX pounds". Subtract from your 6,800 pound GVWR. That should be your weight. They need to bring GVWR up. I know with bags you can hold alot of weight, just not legally though. So I think they need factory or dealer installed bags to increase GVWR. My QUAD CAB TRX4 Hemi weighed 5680, me in it. Full tank. Yeah, I got fooled into thinking mine was 5311 from the specs page on the net, looking it up on the lot. Thought I had a 1389 pound payload, more like 1221. Way too easy to be over GVWR.
