I always park either next to a median or on the back of the parking lot. Howeve it seems like when I come out of the store every spot around me has been parked in. Almost like they are waiting fo me to hit there car. Anyway the median thing works good. I tuck up close to the curb and leave lot's of room on the other side. The person would have to intentially park close to hit my truck. So far, so good. Good luck with the repair, I think the guys before me gave some real good advice.

Got my first blemish a couple days ago....no worries though. I plan on keeping the truck until it rusts out.

I'd wait a couple more years until you get more scratches and then take care of them all at the same time. If it's not people banging their doors on your truck, it'll be rocks from the road.

You should be fine unless the scratches start to rust really bad.

Ya, that is what i am going to do. I took it to a local body shop, and he said just touch up the one down to the metal for now, wait until there are few more spots (which I am sure there will be soon enough) on the bumper then paint the whole thing properly.

He said he would do it for $250-300. Sound like a fair price for a bumper to be repainted?

I only had mine three weeks before someone pushed a shopping cart into the front bumper. I got that fixed only to have someone hit n run it while it was parked on the street. Getting that fixed next week. People don't care is the problem. My front bumper seems to be cursed as it is taking the brunt of the damage.

I have a question for you all. I have the touch up paint for the red but where do I get some for the bumper?

I know what you mean about people not caring about other peoples stuff.About 7-8 months ago,I found a scratch on my drivers side bedside, just below the fuel door, like someone had tried to steel my gas,and rubbed the gas can against my truck or something. The scratch was only clearcoat deep though. The way I see it,if its not yours, keep your F"@@*)^#+( hands off of it!!!!
