Default Splitting the stock exaust pipe?

What would happen if I split the stock exhaust pipe into two pipes coming off the back?

Would it be louder, more muffled and will it affect performance in any way?

Most exhaust changes aft of the cats predominantly effects performance above 5,000 RPM ONLY. Actually, the same goes for headers.

Of course sound is a whole different story and highly subjective.

All that said, I'm still trying to locate a used Sport (painted) bumper with dual exhaust cutouts for my TRX simply because I like the looks of it.

I found a used dual OEM muffler on the cheap but the OEM pipes, resonators and tips are holding me up now.

I may just cut some outlets in my stock bumper but I think it would look awkward without the factory dimpling or whatever it's called. Then aftermarket pipes, resonators and tips would be only a couple hundred.

p.s. I have a want to buy ad for this stuff in the classified section of this forum for any of you that may have a lead on the parts.
