Other wise, a hood is a must. I could do without the graphics, but SEMA does require such. Some killer bumpers would be sweet. Nothing like big meaty bumpers on a large 4x4..... oh wait.... yours is a 2wd..... JK Big bumpers would still look sick.

Stereo is a must as well, ditch the back seat and go wild. And how about a nice drop down BBQ and fridge in the back, just for those tailgate parties? After all, a 2wd is a pavement pounder. (just had to toss another dig in there, sorry)
lol yea yea i know, 2WDs arent suppose to go big but id never use a 4x4 so it was just a waste for me to pay the extra. ive been lookin into different hoods. gota keep my backseat cause i got 4 sons and they love to go to shows with us. but we are def doing stereo, prolly all kicker stuff in a fiberglass console. just a couple 12s and an amp.

As it sits with the 38's the stock rear end is living on borrowed time (if the truck gets driven)
its getting regeared after the new lift. for SEMA we are doing 40s but the lift will allow us to clear 44s. The 38s we have no dont clear so thats why we are going bigger. since its custom it cost me the same wether it was a few inches or alot. so i chose alot to make more of an impact.

So what do you do with something like that after SEMA? We've got a couple local companies (ORO and BVOR) who build some vehicles for SEMA, but they are always functional - plus sometimes some wierd paint and accessories.

As for the lift, what kind of bracing do they do on the back of a huighe box IFS lift like that? Seems like if you ever ran the front tires, or the front of the box into anything (like even a curb) that the pressure to fold the box back would be immense.

Well I will drive it occasionally. Whenever we go to shows we will be driving it there. Are farthest show is 13 hours from us. I throw a car truck and bike show thats pretty big called Slamily Reunion so we travel to about 20 shows a year promoting our show so I will use the truck to help promote that and just show it and drive it and enjoy it until someone makes me an offer i cant refuse lol. Ive been building rides for years and Id never build one i cant drive and enjoy. Granted that sometimes you drive them a little less lol.

Sorry I missed the 2nd part of your post. As for the bracing, im not exactly sure what they do but i know that BNC Off Road is one of the best in the country and have built many many big trucks like this. Check them out at www.bncoffroad.com and see what you think of their work.

LOL, we're supposed to be nice, so I'll just say I would relish the chance to see any of their stuff actually go offroad - I'll bring my jeep with 35" tires and 4 inches of lift along to drag them home

Looks like their norm is 2-3 feet of lift, stock axles and 6 inches of ground clearance. Show trucks, sure - offroad - no way

This one especially cracks me up:

Yea they build show trucks and road trucks. They are not a hardcore offroad or rock crawler shop. I got some friends locally that build rock crawlers that most people that think they can go off road wouldnt be able to follow them 20 yards into the areas they go. They are some super hardcore buggys. I know they compete out of town all the time. When i had my z71 i use to go muddin alot but would come home with scratches all over my paint. Since i bought a new truck i knew i wouldnt do that with it so i went with a 2wd. A 4x4 woulda been un needed extra on my monthly payment. I knew i wanted to build a big truck for show though so thats what im doing. The hardcore offroad guys are prolly going to not like it or talk but to each their own. I dont make fun of them for having scratched up torn up trucks ya know. You cant please them all lol. Most huge trucks dont ever go off road anyway, and why would they with 10 grand in paint work right? But I if i ever decide to build a real mudder or rock crawler and put this much effort into it im sure it will be top of the line. But rest assure, when i do... i wont mock those that arent doing the same thing as me. Never conform to the norm. If people werent different then life would be very boring.
